When Sting was stripped of the title, WCW officials declared that a 32 man single elimination tournament would be held in the fall of 1999, to crown a new WCW World Heavyweight champion. 9 years ago it came down to an all Canadian final when the Crippler and the Hitman squared off.

Great match, would have been better without all the interferrance! But all in all Bret and Chris did a great job:)
