Shane Douglas throws down the NWA championship, Extreme Championship Wrestling is born from ECW Arena (1994)

A very controversial moment on the history of wrestling, happens 14 years ago today, as The Franchise throws down the NWA World Heavyweight championship, and declares himself the new ECW World champion.

Shane Douglas in my opinion doesn't deserve either title, if he is going to treat them like that!
